Ok.  Much like Mitt Romney’s comments have been taken out of context, so has Justice Ginsberg’s.  Listening to her comments as a whole she is saying the US Constitution was written very long ago with a different set of standards such that some people were excluded certain rights:  blacks – freedom and women – right to vote to name a few.  Although the Constitution has been amended several times to correct these, why not look at newer Constitutions which already have certain rights written into the main document vice via amendments.
  Additionally those who fear an independent judicial must not fear the government.  The concept of an independent judicial is to ensure the Constitution is enforced.  The Constitution forms the basis for how our government is run, where it gets its power, what it can do with that power, and the key, limits that power.  If “we” asked “our government” to pass a law which limits the rights of certain people which was in violation of the Constitution, who but the judicial could stop the law?  The judicial ensures the majority doesn’t overrun the minority.  Sometimes we have to take the bad with the good.  I’d rather rights expanded than to have my rights restricted because you said so.

I must agree with Justice G. Our Constitution established a free Republic based on Judeo-Christian beliefs. This is why we have so much legislating from the bench, because the court is either ignoring or doesn’t understand its Constitutional duty.  Their job is to interpret whether the laws passed by Congress meet the requirements of our Constitution, that the Executive Branch does not exceed its Constitutional Authority.  Today the court feels our Constitution is like an automobile that is out of fashion great when right off the line but now pales in comparison to the new models, Socialism, Marxist, or Communistic documents.  Hence we get Ginsberg.

 The Bill of Rights was inserted into the constitution so that the majority wouldn’t overrun the minority.  The founding fathers implemented a means in the constitution whereby it could be amended.  It should be amended rarely and in a reasonable and careful manner.  The different standards of which Ms. Ginsberg speaks has to do with mores.  Slavery was evil.  It should have been outlawed at our country’s inception. 

Gay marriage?  Abortion?  Those are other stories.  The Supreme Court wound up legislating Abortion.  They’ll probably do the same with homosexual marriage.  Those issues need to be addressed in the legislature and signed off on by the President.  They have not been.

Now one might argue that gays are being repressed.  That’s OK.  They have the right to debate their cause and turn public opinion so as to influence the legislature and without redress.  That’s what the first amendment is all about.

I am sure Ginsburg is way far left, and I don’t know how the Canadian,or South African constitutions differ from ours, but in all honesty I wasn’t completely offended. Do we really belive that our constitution is perfect, or would we change a few things if we were to write it today.

I for one would make it more clear that life meant at conception, and that the right to bear arms was for any and all individual persons, and that they could only be restricted from posesing firearms after being convicted of a fellon ect. etc.

To answer your question – Yes the constitution CAN be amended.  There are provisions IN the constitution for doing so.  The problem so many of us have is that Progressive congresses ignore the constitution when writing laws – usurping powers that were reserved to the individual states.  The Judicial branch seldom makes the effort to nullify these unconstitutional laws – or else they intentionally mis-interpret the constitution as when they supposedly found a woman’s ‘right to privacy’ in the constituion when no such right exists.

If a politician or a judge doesn’t want to support the constitution as written (not just as they think it should be amended) - then they should never take the oath of office.  Once they swear an oath to uphold and defend the constitution (as written), then they need be charged with treason when they break that oath.

The US Constitution was conceived as a means of limiting and control government. So the Founders used specific language where one point was reinforced by succeeding points, always with an eye toward limiting government. However, clowns on the Supreme Court have taken a few lines by themselves and tortured their meaning to be in support of unlimited government, which would be impossible if the lines were taken in context and as part of the whole document.

These new constitutions are all about unlimited government from the start. Look at that quote from the South African constitution. That’s so vague and mealie-mouthed it could mean anything. And that’s the point really. People will look at these empty words and put their own definitions to them. That makes it easier for people to fall in line with the power junkies’ who wrote its will. I’m sure it is also full of other stuff like promises of free stuff paid for by others (until they run out of money).

Independent Judicial means just that, not dependent on the other branches.  Isn’t funny how New Gingrich wants to hold the judicial branch accountable for actions he deems not in line with his interpretation as if the judicial branch is accountable to the other branches?  Each branch has equal power to keep each other in check. The President doesn’t run the country.  Congress doesn’t run the country.  The Judicial doesn’t run the country.  No, they all work together to ensure the country runs with limited powers to all.

Other of our elected officials have demonstrated again and again that they “know what is best” and will vote any way the wind blows to pass legislation that is totally contrary to the letter of the law found in the Constitution. For someone who is a life time employee to say that the Constitution is outdated is the height of hypocrisy especially for someone who hassworn to uphold our Constitution.

Why did she accept the opportunity to demonstrate her lack of integrity, if she felt the Constitution was old and worn out. She just doesn’t accept the historically fact that the Constitution was was not written to give human rights. It was written to insure that no branch of government, executive, legislative, or judicial would have th power to dictate to the American people and usurp their authority over the government. But due to our woeful ignorance of this fact, we have allowed it to go unchallenged. Historically, judicial review did not pass a vote in the Constitutional convention. Supporters tried three times to include it in the Constitution and three times it was voted down. The judicial branch was set up by the legislative branch after the ratification of the Constitution. Congress has the Constitutional right to limit the cases heard by the Supreme Court.

Expediency has played a bigger part in the Supreme court power than any other factor except packing the court with liberals though Presidential appointments and Legislative approvals. When liberals control all three branches of the government, the American citizen has very little voice in what is passed. We must take back the control of our government, to preserve what little freedoms we have left. We must change the direction of our country by changing our leadership for the top down.

I’m afraid it is too much to ask.  Almost every member of Congress, the President and the Supreme Court take their direction from the CFR, the US vehicle of the global elites to erert their iron-fisted influence on gernment policy and selection of all 545 of these people.  They are weel rewarded with generous perks and threatened with physical harm to themselves or their families should they reveal how Washington really works.

Actually, I think she said some very nice things about our Constitution and about the Founding Fathers. Of course, after she seemed to praise their ability to compromise to make it work, she got hung up on the slavery and female suffrage issues, as all detractors of the Constitution do (usually unthinkingly). To her credit, she then praised the Founders for making it adaptable, and so things like that have been fixed.
But here’s my question:  Why would we care that the Egyptians don’t want to look to the U.S. Constitution as an example? In fact, we probably want them NOT to use it, because in whatever so-called constitution they create, they will fail. They do NOT have the necessary understanding of democracy. They do NOT have the necessary respect for decency and human life – especially female human life. They have very little tolerance for ideas outside of very narrow scopes, and habitually respond to those ideas with violence. No, not all Egyptian people are incapable of self-government, but too many of them are, so it cannot work. It’s a sad fact, but there it is.

What was good about our constitution was it’s ability to be amended. It reflected the social attitudes of the time, though some knew that slavery and other issues would need to be addressed at some point. And they were. And still we are evolving. It is wrong for Ginsburg to be on the court if she cannot believe and support the constitution. Justice Ruth Bader is a clear example of what’s wrong with placing individuals into a power situation for their lives. The Supreme Court is now dramatically tainted especially after Obama placed Kagen and Sotomeyer onto the bench for life. They owe their loyalties to Obama, to to which ever president placed them into the Supreme Court and will judge anything and everything in his favor including the constitutionality of Obama-care. There should be a mechanism other than death to remove a Justice that has shown their true colors so that they can be removed from the Supreme Court. A perfect example is AG Eric Holder that is the highest law maker in our country and has proven that he is not worthy of the position yet he is being protected by the person that placed him into that position of power, Obama.

In your post you made mention of the paucity of moral courage in our world. Ironically, my posts that offended you are grounded in just that: moral courage to tell the truth in the face of a culture gone mad and deeply deceived.

I write my posts to educate others to the truth which God has led me to. I thought much the same way you do until I read and studied several books by Texe Marrs concerning the global conspiracy that the Bush family has been an integral part of for three generations. I have been researching the global conspiracy aggressively for the past year with a background in world history, economics, political science, philosophy, psychology, American culture, business strategy, finance, organizational behavior and the teachings of the Bible. Without my prior exposure to all of these disciplines, I probably would not have been able to fully comprehend the depths of the deceit and betrayal of the American people that our institutional leaders have conspired to perpetrate on us. This is not something new. It’s been in the works for over two centuries. But today, more and more Americans are awakening to the sad truth that our nation and our world has been hijacked by a Satanic cult of global elites who pull the strings of power behind the curtains where no one can see their actions other than themselves.

The sad reality is that both parties are owned and controlled by the very same global elites who then finance an election ritual every four years to deceive Americans into believing that we are still a constitutional federal republic and that we the people elect our leaders to serve our interests. The heart and spirit of our Constitution and the rule of law has been gutted by successive Presidents, Congressmen, Senators and Supreme Court Justices of both parties who take their orders from these elites and not from you and me. How do they do this? First by appealing to their greed for money and power; second with implied and overt threats to them and their families should they go public with what I am sharing with you.

Why? Because Communist revolutionaries know that to impose totalitarian tyranny on any nation, you have to create chaos and anarchy first. I would add that the good Justice did not include in her list of positives, as she related to our constitution, the right to practice ones religious beliefs free of government interference. Nor did she mention the right to bear arms. If a government is not willing to allow its people these two most important provisions it will not survive. This is the test as to whether a government is worthy to lead. If the government will not trust its people, the government itself can not be trusted. This distrust of the government towards its people will eventually restrict them to a point in which the people will eventually rebel.

The American Experience is totally unique and impossible to duplicate.  Let’s keep our Constitution and Declaration of Indepencence to ourselves and stop trying to mold the rest of the world to be like us….as much as it would probably benefit them enormously.  The preamble to the South American constitution (shown above) sounds really good.  It should…the mindset sounds very much like that expressed in our Constitution.  I don’t see a problem with other countries using our Constitution as a “foundation” for their own, but I don’t feel they will be able to replicate it.  They can only build on what our Founding Fathers envisioned for the “brave, new world” they wanted to create.  And, we shouldn’t want them to replicate it because that’s what sets us apart from the rest of the world.

ridiculous notions of Mormon caliphates.

decide who are the good guys and who are the bad guys here’s a tip: The
good guys believe that murder, theft, and slavery are wrong. Mormons
don’t believe in conversion by force. Mormons don’t believe in a
religious mandate to rule the world by force. I disagree vehemently with

Christian that Mormons share a very similar moral view of the world

Anyone who’s followed her career to any degree should have already concluded that she’s no friend of the constitution, notably Kelo vs New London, and District of Columbia vs Heller.  In fact, there are four justices on the SCOTUS right now who seem to have a blanket disregard for the constitution, relying instead on their own personal values to make decisions.

Hey, whether you agree or not with my post makes little difference to me, but if you are going to critique my post, know what you’re talking about first.  First, i didn’t even mention that “democrats were the reason for his downfall.”  I was referring to the democratic “filibuster” of many federal and Supreme Court Justice appointee’s by Bush - a total of “9″ to be in fact, by “democrats”.  Three withdrew their nominations because of the pathetic process of being degraded by democrats.   FACT – in 2001 many liberal academics became worried Bush would be packing the federal judiciary with conservative jurists, for which “Cass Sunstein”, a liberal law professor from the university of Chicago counseled the democrats in the Senate on how to stop this..  It was only because of the “Nuclear Option” that republicans used to get his only 2 Supreme Court Justices appointed and several other federal judges.  It sounds as you’re sympathetic to democrats, I’m not!  I have little if any respect at all for a democrat or democrats.  I am a conservative, not a middle of the road, or liberal.  And there were only some brief periods of Bush’s terms that republicans were in control of both the senate and congress.  And, i know clearly the difference between a republican and a two bit, unamerican democrat, without you having to enlighten me

I don’t know your mind, but if I had to hazard a guess I’d guess that you favor Newt, Obama, or Paul. Now, as for Israel – Well, Israel is a majority Jewish population. They want to be free of Muslim oppression. But, be that as it may, doesn’t Israel have the right to a theocratic government and the right to impose laws that protect their Jewish population from Muslim intervention, especially considering the oppressive religious laws of Muslim nations?

The South African constitution has done nothing for blacks in this county.  The average black person or family is much worse off economically (there is real racial oppression in S Africa. We Are All Bigots

The idea to write this article came to me over my recent arguments with some people on Glenn Becks website. I have been called all sortsof names over my support for Newt Gingrich and for trying to hold Mr. Beck accountable.When reason and facts did not work, I tried sinking to their level to give thema taste of their own medicine. Alas, it was futile. I have only questioned with boldness, why Glenn Beck would viciously smear Mr. Gingrich and his supporters, but ignore Mitt Romney’s aggressions. There is only one reason that
I can find and that is their shared beliefs (Mormonism). I and others want to know why there is a double standard. If it is not about his religious ties, than what is it? Something is wrong here.

The hypocrisy coming from Glenn Beck’s website is deafening. We all know that Mr. Beck often uses sarcasm to get his point across. So why is it not all right for someone else to use sarcasm?  I wrote an article entitled, “A Mormon Caliphate.”  Please read it, I will post it again with this article if you already have not. The title was pure sarcasm. The article was about Mr. Romney not being able to defend his so-called “Conservative Principles,” not a “Mormon Caliphate.” His supporters cannot defend their own conservatism, let alone his. They do not know why they are conservatives,except it sounds good when it suits them. They are not the base of the Republican Party, nor should you want them to be. Nobody can dispute the facts I presented. They only throw mud by calling people idiots and bigots that dare question them; a tactic that is encouraged by Glenn Becks own examples. I am a bigot because I dared to ask questions about the possible link between the Mormon Church and Glenn Becks hypocritical and disgusting actions. How are we to learn if we do
not ask questions?

If you hate communism, than you are a bigot. Communism is after all the religion of the
left. If you think Scientology is kooky, than you are a bigot. We can go on and on until everybody can say yes to at least one of these. Under this flawed reasoning, if you take a principled stand on anything, you are a bigot. Where the line has to be drawn is if you believe in the freedom of religion or not. I have never said (and never will) that Mormons or any other religion cannot assemble peacefully and worship whom or how they choose. It goes both ways.

segment, Sean Hannity interviewed Mitt Romney about foreign policy. When asked
about the Middle East, Romney talked about President Obama’s failure and what
he would do differently. On Egypt he made a rather curious statement. Mitt
Romney said that he thinks we should have been helping Egypt in a movement
towards a “True Democracy.”

Here at The New Glory we found that to be odd. We knew that
there was only one man that could clarify this, unfortunately Glenn Beck could
not be reached for comment so The New Glory decided to launch a full fledge
investigation into these matters.

Looking into Glenn Becks past statements on “True Democracy”
we uncovered these quotes; “The Founding Fathers, in their infinite wisdom,
knew that Democracy always fails” and “Things like the popular vote is
evil.”  What you are about to read may
surprise you. Not only was Glenn Beck correct but a deeper investigation found
that “True Democracy” is actually “Code” for socialism.

These questions beg for answers, why would Mitt Romney spend
our time, resources, and lives to impose a system that is evil and doomed to
fail? Is that the kind of system he wants for the U.S.A.? Romneycare suggests
it is. Why is Glenn Beck apologetic and dismissive of all Mitt Romney’s
atrocities to conservative principles that made this country great? Why does
Mr. Beck obsessively use tactics of the left to smear Newt Gingrich’s
conservative record and say Romney is more conservative?

There is a complete double standard here. According to most
Mormons on Glenn Becks website, they can’t vote for Newt because of his
personal past. It does not matter if he has asked for forgiveness; he still did
the deed and therefore should be looked at as a pariah for all time. Does
Mormonism follow the teachings of Jesus Christ? If they are not going listen to
him, why should they listen to Mr. Beck who constantly says, “The truth has no
agenda,” and doesn’t listen to his own words. It does not matter to them what
Newt or anybody else says when you present them with the facts, they would
rather personally smear you than debate the issues on the merits. We are supposed
to look at Newts supposedly shady past record and ignore what he says now. With
Romney, we are not suppose to look at his past record; we are to accept
everything he says now, except the parts where he slips, like not being worried
about the poor because the welfare systems got it covered or doubling down on
raising the minimum wage. And now he is talking about “True Democracy.” I
wonder how many of Glenn Beck supporters, or even Mr. Beck himself, are going
to call me a nut job and that I am just jumping to conclusions. I just need one
word to back up my assertions; RomneyCare.

When McDonald’s did the gay ad, I didn’t yell it from the rooftops for people to hear my “boycott” of the restaurant, I just didn’t go there anymore. I think the real point is JC Penny. If you don’t agree that their values
match yours, don’t shop their. Ellen has freedom to chose, the retail
chain as freedom to chose and so do you….. Use your freedom and don’t
shop their. No need to boycott, no need to demand Ellen be fired. If

The OMM is petitioning JCPenny to reconsider their choice.  This organization of moms has constitutional rights to petition.  JCPenny can stand by their decision and face the possibilty of losing many moms from shopping at their stores.  Glen is the hypocrite on this issue.  He would be the first one to call for petitions against  an Obama appointee.  See my point.  All the OMM is doing is being active in their stand to stop shopping at Penny’s stores if JC P wants to roll out Ellen and espouse “common values”.  It is not against the constitution to disagree with a marketing ploy by a department store>>>get real.

 Yep. JCPenney has (should have, anyway) a right to hire whoever they want. Also, like-minded consumers also have a right to agree to get together and take action advocating their point of view in the marketplace as well. No one is preventing JCPenney from hiring Ellen. No one is preventing Ellen from seeking employment. And, no one is making these Christians shop at JCPenney if they don’t want to because they don’t support Ellen’s role as a spokesperson for the LGBTQ community. It’s a role Ellen chose. She’s able to levy her criticisms at people that disagree with her, and people that disagree with her are able to levy their disagreements with her in return. JCPenney chose to hire Ellen, and therefore they now have to deal with the results.

 Amen. But I don’t think this is so much a case of Glenn supporting Ellen’s political perspective as Glenn knowing Ellen.

Beck is a celebrity. He meets and talks to other celebrities. He says he “likes” Ellen. He has probably met her and they likely got along. Or, Beck is trying to or is scheduled to go on her show. You could speculate on infinite scenarios. What I’m getting at is, I think this is more Beck trying to defend a friend without actually rationally thinking about the issue than Beck actually favoring Ellen’s part over the Christian advocacy group.

Or, at least so I hope. Otherwise, if he continually opposes Christian consumer advocacy Beck could end up ostracizing himself from the Christian community. We are not obligated to buy from companies that commercially support outspoken public figures like Ellen.

Are you not aware that GLAAD isn’t the only GLBTQ group out there? Are you not aware of NAMBLA? Are you not aware that pedophiles are riding the coattails of the GLBTQ community toward legitimacy? Ellen chooses to be an active spokesperson for the GLBTQ community. She doesn’t just speak for GLAAD. There are other groups she represents. She has mocked Christians in public. We’re talking about organized efforts by the groups Ellen chooses to represent.

Ellen isn’t advocating anyone being killed. I know that. I’m not comparing her to a terrorist. But the logic is the same. A person can not stand alone on their own merit when they’ve actively attached themselves to groups. She has attached her personality to the promotion of those groups.

Meanwhile, the actions of this Christian group are extremely mild in comparison. Are they promoting a celebrity figure that mocks homosexuality the way Ellen does Christians? Are they promoting throwing feces, pies, and glitter and shouting through bull horns at GLBTQ group meetings or charity events?

This Christian group is simply sending a message to a company that chose to use Ellen as a face for an advertising campaign. Doing so, they attach the baggage that goes with it. The Christian group isn’t in the wrong.

 The problem is not that she is a gay it is because she defines herself as a gay in everything she does.  To her and others she is not an entertainer she is a gay entertainer.  Her sexual preference has little to do with her job but yet it is in her title.  I wouldn’t want to shop anywhere that had a spokesperson that placed there sexual preference in with his or her position.
