Bill Clinton is out to sabotage Barack Obama's reelection chances, right? It seems pretty clear at this point that he doesn't want to see Obama in office come 2013, and is trying to stop him in the most passive agressive manner possible. Why else would he be undermining the President's campaign at every turn?
First, he said that Romney had a sterling business record when he was at Bain. Meanwhile, the Obama campaign is trying to paint Romney as a ruthless CEO who sought to maximize profits at the expense of people. That's a pretty significant disconnect.
Now, Clinton is out their touting his own record over Obama's.
Clinton said, "Remember me, I'm the only guy that gave you four surplus budgets of the eight I sent."
That doesn't sound like support for Obama, who has yet to pull us out of the economic downturn that has persisted since he took office.
"Okay. This guy does not want Barack Obama elected," Glenn said upon hearing the audio. "Is this the most passive‑aggressive stuff you've ever seen?"
Glenn, of course, tried to tie it all back to his theory that Hillary would end up being on the ballot in November either as President or Vice President. Pat and Stu, however, wrote it off as Clinton just not liking Obama and having an ego.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see if Clinton continues to campaign for Obama and if he continues to bury Obama when he has the spotlight.
