Glenn joined Megyn Kelly on Fox News Monday night to discuss his recent endorsement of Senator Ted Cruz for president of the United States. He went on to comment on Trump, Palin and the mood of the country.
"Megyn Kelly was so great and reasonable tonight, as always," Glenn wrote on Facebook after the interview.
When asked why now, after 40 years, he felt compelled to endorse a candidate, Glenn told Kelly it's something he felt as strongly about as when he warned about the Islamic caliphate---and people made fun of him for that.
While he acknowledged there are a lot of great Republican candidates---Donald Trump excluded---Glenn emphasized how crucial it is for the next president to stand against the fundamental transformation of our nation started by progressive President Woodrow Wilson.
"We're headed for real trouble: Islamic trouble, economic trouble and civil unrest in the next four or five years," Glenn said. "This next president is going to either finish and we're going to become a nation where the pen and the phone are the way to rule, or we're going to have somebody who has the Constitution in their bones, and they're going to repoint this corner stone and set it right and give us a new start."
Glenn went on to discuss how the progressive "cancer" is now growing within the Republican Party.
"Unless you root yourself in the Constitution, when that pendulum swings back, you're going to have another guy with a pen and with a phone," Glenn said. "And he's going to do bad things."
