Here’s What They’re Not Saying About Bill O’Reilly

A recent New York Times report has dragged Bill O’Reilly back into the sex-scandal spotlight, claiming “O’Reilly struck a $32 million agreement … according to two people briefed on the matter — an extraordinarily large amount for such cases.”

Additionally, the story reported that complaints against O’Reilly included, “allegations of repeated harassment, a non-consensual sexual relationship and the sending of gay pornography and other sexually explicit material to her, according to the people briefed on the matter.”

It’s important to note that the Times’ story is based on “two people briefed on the agreement and several others familiar with the dispute,” points out Glenn Beck in this video clip from today’s show.

Refresh my memory on the O’Reilly case

  • Last January, Fox Network’s top-rated host, Bill O’Reilly, struck an agreement for an alleged $32 million with former Fox News legal analyst, Lis Wiehl, to settle sexual harassment allegations.
  • According to the Time’s story, the settlement with Wiehl “was at least the sixth agreement — and by far the largest — made by either Mr. O’Reilly or the company to settle harassment allegations against him.” Despite the claims against him, Fox granted O’Reilly a four-year, $25 million per year extension in February.
  • O’Reilly was fired in April.

Glenn’s Take

“Innocent until proven guilty … is that even relevant in American anymore?” said Glenn of O’Reilly’s case. Granted, we all know that Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly go way back, so it doesn’t come as a huge surprise to see Glenn speaking on behalf of his friend. But Glenn — being Glenn — wanted to get to the truth of the matter. He even went so far as to say, “Know this: if I ever find out that the accusations against O’Reilly are true, you will hear it from me first … I have no other loyalty than to the truth.”

Glenn spoke with O’Reilly during an in-depth interview with on this morning’s show, which you can hear more of here. In the video above, Glenn goes over the case, breaking down each claim and airing out some of the details that were not covered by The New York Times’ story including:

  • Two weeks after drafting the suit, Wiehl signed an affidavit saying, “We have since resolved all of our issues. I would no longer make allegations contained in the draft complaint.” As well as, “I have no claims against Bill O’Reilly concerning any of those emails or any of the allegations in the draft complaint.”
  • O’Reilly said he gave a copy of the affidavit as well as copies of love letters written by Wiehl to him to The New York Times but no mention was ever made of either.
  • Megan Kelly, who Glenn says is also a good friend, spoke out on the Today Show, revealing that she “sent an email last year to the co-presidents of her former employer Fox News complaining about the behavior of anchor Bill O’Reilly toward women.”
  • O’Reilly sent three letters, two from Megan Kelly and one from Gretchen Carlson, which you can read here. These letters indicate that O’Reilly had a good relationship with these female coworkers — at least at one time.

Black Friday used to be a WARNING...

Before the door-buster deals and stampedes, “Black Friday” meant total financial panic (gold crashing, markets collapsing). Then in the 1950s, Philadelphia cops reused the term because the day-after-Thanksgiving chaos felt like the end of civilization. But the real twist? FDR moved Thanksgiving itself in 1939 just to give retailers an extra week of Christmas shopping — dividing the country until Congress finally caved in 1941. So, what started as a sacred day of survival and gratitude got permanently hijacked by Washington and big business.

The forgotten truth of Thanksgiving that can SAVE divided families

Every year, family members dread getting together for Thanksgiving due to a rise if political division. Glenn Beck strips away the modern trimmings of Thanksgiving — the parade, the football, the turkey — and takes us back to where it all began: a small band of Pilgrims who lost almost everything yet chose to stop and give thanks to God for the fragile miracle of survival. Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday about abundance. It’s a holiday about gratitude in the face of hardship, humility before unearned blessings, and the recognition that true freedom always costs something. Also, StoryCorps Founder & President Dave Isay joins Glenn to share a story of the difference that one small act of kindness can make.

Jimmy Kimmel's wife admitted something AWFUL about Trump voters

As many families across the nation are mentally preparing to deal with their family members who hold different political beliefs than they do, there's ONE family who isn't, because they've kicked them out of their lives: Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney. During a recent podcast appearance, McNearney admitted she lost relationships with some family members after they voted for Trump when she told them not to. Glenn reminisces on a time when family members stayed family, and didn't let political differences get in the way.

America is entering an energy crisis — and for the first time, Silicon Valley is begging for nuclear power. Glenn Beck sits down with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin to reveal why AI data centers are consuming MASSIVE amounts of electricity, forcing the left to suddenly reverse their decades-long opposition to nuclear energy. Zeldin explains Trump’s plan to fast-track new nuclear projects, overhaul the permitting system, restore U.S. auto jobs, eliminate burdensome EPA mandates, and rebuild America’s energy grid before it collapses.
