Yes, Russia Is a Threat to the US – but It’s Not About Trump

Russia is targeting the U.S., and it’s been going on since long before the 2016 election.

On today’s show, Glenn talked about both President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton’s questionable connections to Russia and warned people not to get caught up in one story or another.

“They even took what looked to be bribes from the Kremlin connected to banks in Moscow,” he said of the Clintons. “Why did it look like a bribe? Because it affected U.S. policy towards Russia.”

While connections to the Kremlin should be investigated on every side, the main takeaway is to realize that Russia is a threat that has been taken for granted for too long.

“The threat from Russia is real,” Glenn said.

GLENN: The threat from Russia is real. But it has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump.

Before it was sexy to talk about collusion or interference in the elections of our campaigns, our old friends, the Russians had their sites set on something huge. Putin was pulling out all of the stops to find out what the new Russia reset was going to look like.

Russian espionage measures included everything from legal lobbying efforts to deploying the American-style deep cover sleeper agents.

If you think that this isn't happening, you are part of the problem.

What if I were to tell you that a wealthy American family with aspirations for the Oval Office had been targeted by Russian intelligence. Not only were they targeted, but high-ranking members of their staff were actively being infiltrated. They even took what looked to be bribes from the Kremlin, connected to banks in Moscow.

Why did it look like a bribe? Because it affected US policy towards Russia. You tell that story to anyone here in the United States, and they'll think that you're talking about Donald Trump.

All of the above happened in 2009, in 2010, in a Russian plan to infiltrate Bill and Hillary Clinton.

An FBI counterintelligence investigation revealed that the Russians were using American companies to gain access to high-ranking people close to Hillary Clinton. They also revealed that Kremlin decade money given to Bill came suspiciously close to meetings with Hillary, that she had in Moscow, regarding several issues that Moscow had an interest in. The Uranium One scandal was just one of them. And that is a huge item.

The Clinton case and the Trump case are so much alike, but the ladder HEP has gotten all of the media attention. The truth is this, the Russians are targeting America. They have been targeting us for a long time. If you ran for president, they would be targeting you.

Not only is this threat real, it's getting worse. And it's not about Donald Trump. It wasn't about the Clintons.

We are the ones. We are the ones that have made this a partisan issue. Not the Russians. The United States is under attack. And we better start acting like it.

'Welcome to Anarchism, Glenn' | Michael Malice | Ep 121

Buckle up, this one is a wild ride. Author of "The Anarchist Handbook" and podcast host of "Your Welcome" Michael Malice wants to burn it all down, peacefully and with a smile. "My rights are NOT up for discussion," he tells Glenn. He explains why his version of America will save America. He and Glenn also discuss why corporate media is shrinking, why Boomers love Martin Luther King Jr., how Trump earned the spite vote, and why gun control is officially solved. But how does anarchism solve the China problem or potential nuclear threats? Somehow, he has the answer. He also tells Glenn how a concept like Blaze Media brought down the Soviet Union and why, in spite of anxious talk of "national divorce," he has so much hope for the future.

INSANITY: High schooler ARRESTED after not wearing mask at school tells her story

On Thursday's radio program, Grace Smith and her father, Andy, joined Glenn Beck on the phone and provided a first-hand account of Grace's refusal to wear a mask at school.

Smith, 16, began a maskless protest after her school district in Laramie, Wyoming, decided to implement a mask mandate. As a result, Grace received three suspensions, was issued two $500-citations, and was eventually arrested.

"How long were you in jail?" Glenn asked.

Grace said was taken to jail but was never booked nor was she was placed in a jail cell.

Glenn commended Grace's father, Andy, for raising such a "great citizen" and asked if it was Grace's idea to protest. Andy said it was Grace's idea, explaining that they took the position of arguing on the grounds of civil rights rather than the efficacy of wearing a mask.

Grace has since withdrawn from public school and started a home school program. She also told Glenn that she will continue to fight the school district, legally.

Jason Whitlock: Raiders coach fired by NFL as a ‘SIGNAL’ to others

Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden was forced to resign (fired) by the NFL on Monday due to 'misogynistic' and 'homophobic' language found in several of his old, private emails. But Jason Whitlock, sports writer and host of 'Fearless' on BlazeTV, tells Glenn that Gruden's words never should have resulted in his job lost: 'We should have accepted his apology and kept it moving.' But instead, Whitlock says the NFL chose to use Gruden as a 'signal' for all other employees who may oppose the football organization's current, far-left political stances: 'Taking over sports, taking over the NFL, is crucial to the goals of the left and what they're trying to do.'
