Woodrow Wilson has left the building.

So on this day Woodrow Wilson died? Nice day to have a celebration; not for the death of the man, just the part of where the gulping noise from him being before the throne of judgment.

Actually if I remember my history right did not Wilson suffer some kind of crippling condition for a short time while in office?

For quite a long time. History has it his wife Edith and his cabinet did much of the day-to-day decision-making after his stroke in 1919.

I don’t celebrate the death of anyone. I don’t celebrate the death of Nero. I don’t celebrate the death of Caligula. I don’t celebrate the death of Muhammad. I don’t celebrate the death of Genghis Khan. I don’t celebrate the death of Lenin. I don’t celebrate the death of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, or Che… I didn’t celebrate when Saddam Hussein died. I didn’t celebrate when Osama Bin Laden died. I didn’t celbrate when Gaddafi died. I didn’t celebrate when Kim Jong Il died.

I don’t even celebrate the death of Christ. I observe a day every year specifically to remember that sacrifice; to honor the sacrifice Jesus made for us all, including Woodrow Wilson. But honoring His sacrifice isn’t celebrating His death. I celebrate His life and resurrection. I celebrate the Salvation He offers, and I obey His mandate to forgive and not hold grudges.

I celebrate life. Knowing who the bad guys and good guys were is important. Knowing history and recognizing the evils and wrongs and heroism and goodness in history is important. We must all learn from history. Some things are certainly worth celebrating. And, Woodrow Wilson was extremely harmful to the United States from my political perspective. In a way, the deaths of a lot of human beings could be laid at his doorstep. But celebrating the death of any human being is wrong-headed to say the least, even that of Woodrow Wilson.

Wonder if celebrating the deaths of Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Che, …..would be in or out your agenda? Hitler’s death, maybe 50,000,000 might of been saved; Stalin’s death, maybe 70,000,000 might of been saved; Mao’s death, perhaps 130,000,000 could of been saved…Che he is just chump change serial murder….and perhaps because a pee brain can not grasp those large numbers let me put it in terms anyone can understand; communist/socialist/progressives/Markist are responsible for the deaths of 3.36 to 4.46 people for every minute, of ever hour, of every day, of every week, of every month, of every year for the last 100 years…and that is the true history of the last Century. Damn right, in the name of humanity I would celebrate the deaths of these people and any person or persons willing to accept, promote or dissmenate the socialist agenda.

When, in the history of the United States, have we made a holiday out of the death of our enemies? Where, in the gears turning in your head, did you come to the conclusion that celebrating the death of other human beings is moral? Celebrate victory. Celebrate life. Celebrate the ending of tyrannies – but do not celebrate even your worst enemy’s death. Not if that death comes by your hand or the hand of another. We should rue death under any circumstance.

I share your loathing for collectivism. I share your hatred for what has been done in its name – in ALL centuries. I understand it (not condone) if you hate the people responsible for it, and the results of their deeds. But one of the things that makes us different from them is a different way of looking at life on a fundamental level. We may be willing to risk our own lives and take life for causes we believe in, but we do not trivialize the value of life. If we have sacrificed, it is with regret. If we take life, it is with regret. Every life is precious, and every death is tragic. And the greatest example of how much we cherish life is in our championing liberty and justice.

Temper your hatred for what deserves to be hated with the understanding that everyone is capable of evil, and those who do evil deeds are not incapable of good. The death of a bitter enemy is cause for relief and reflection, not celebration.

That is all and well the comments….you miss one crucial and vital point….’you are here and alive when other people have been killed (hundreds of millions), still others have given their lives so we are alive today. There is no hatred expressed, implied or demonstrated in the comments and position I take and expound. The only hatred within me, is for all those persons, still alive, while others have been killed by heinous and ugly and evil persons, that promote ill-logic and igorance in the face of evil. Stand once when an enemy is pointing his weapon at you, let a bullet or explosive come your way with purposeful intent to kill you…then your voice has value. Til you life is on the line…when you have faced an enemy intent on your death, your words and believes are so much just empty rhetoric. Pickup and hold in your arms the dead body of your wife, any member in your family, and of your friends….then make comment. Is the killing wrong – I will be first to say it is, I will also be the first to attempt to stop any aggressor or evil person or persons that would bring me or others harm.

Unless you are able to stand up on your own two feet and protect yourself, your family, your home, you town, state and nation…unless you have done this…I believe also that unless you have worn the uniform of our Armed Forces in defense of yourself, your men of arms (and I don’t mean in the rear with the gear pencil pushing paper holding  soldier)…your comment are valueless and indeed meaningless.

The first time a bullet went passed my head, my whole illusionary understanding of the world changed. When in my arms three people through the events that killed them, died in my arms…until that day comes you….sit down, be quiet, remain passive in your ignorance.

If in the death of Hitler, Stalin, Mao and other had been accomplished perhaps 430,000,000 people would have had a chance at life denied them. What you also fail to understand, the politics that supported those individuals, were just ‘tools’ used by those persons to extend their evil.

History?  Oh boy!  I love history!   Just bought a magazine put out by US News & World Report

on The American Revolution.  Have heard US News leans left now (they didn’t when I was a

subscriber a number of years ago) so I will see how much of the story may have changed.

But, Glenn, celebrate the death of a US President?  Isn’t that a bit harsh?   If someone would

assassinate B.O. would you celebrate his death too—because you think he’s also a president

who was bad for the US?    If you were going to celebrate the death of anyone, I would think it

should be someone who did evil things (and may have been evil himself.)  I am thinking along

the lines of Hitler or Stalin.  But there are many more who fall into that category as well.

However, I do agree with you, Glenn.  History has been ”messed with” and the kids in school

today aren’t getting the full and possibly not the true picture of what happened.   That’s why I

really liked your program on Fox when you ”taught” us early American history.

Besides the fact that you have no idea what my background is, who do you think you are to marginalize my position based on whether or not I’ve served in the military? Ideas stand on their own merit, sir. More experience in one area of life doesn’t give license for you to say 2+2=5 and to shout down anyone that disagrees because they didn’t serve in the Marines or whatever other qualification for hardship you can make up to justify your attempted bullying.

Woodrow Wilson and the elite intellectuals and wealthy of this world are the ones that form the Progressives of the world. They believe that their education and experience at the top give them license to dictate how the rest of the world works. And if you disagree, well you don’t have the necessary education or experience in their field to be given a voice at the table. Guess what soldier? To them, your voice isn’t worth spit.

You served in the military? Good. Maybe I’ll buy you a drink sometime if I see you around. Guess what buddy? Every generation of my family has seen volunteer service in the military. In fact, during the Vietnam Conflict almost every single uncle I have (and I have a dozen) VOLUNTEERED for Vietnam. Not drafted. Thank God none of them were killed, but all of them saw action and none of them left unscathed. One of my closest cousins was in Desert Storm, while several of my other cousins were serving various other places overseas. My best friend for 22 years, a few of my other friends, and a few of my cousins have served in Korea and Afghanistan. Who do you think you are to question me without knowing who I am?

Even if that wasn’t the case. Even if I was your perfect target, just some random guy with no military knowledge, no family or friends in the military, just some working stiff – What gives you the right to tell me that I have no room to voice my opinion? That my opinion doesn’t count because I haven’t served.

All of you out there reading this – Get your heads straightened out. This is PRECISELY where tyranny comes from. Being convinced you know better and coming up with excuses as to why other people don’t count as much. It’s exactly the mentality we’re fighting against in people like Obama.

I could have just fallen off the hay wagon, but if I’m right I’m right, and no badge on my shoulder makes my expressed position on any idea more or less valid. Do you deserve honor for risking your life for our country? Absolutely! Do you deserve empathy for the losses and trauma you’ve suffered? Of course! And if someone needed to get a real idea of what it’s like to be in combat could they rely on your expertise and experience? Without a doubt.

But truth is truth, and you don’t qualify it with a PhD, a star on your shoulder, a Purple Heart, a huge bank account, or with gang tattoos. It stands alone on its own merit.

So don’t tell me I don’t know the value of life. Don’t assume to tell me that I haven’t a clue what it’s like to lose loved ones. For crying out loud, have you forgotten that people don’t just die on battle fields?

Dance around and sing a song all you want when your enemy dies. Just remember that it won’t undo what has been done, and it doesn’t honor the righteous dead.

I give credit to those of your family who did give service time in the military; and thank you for verifying my point as no where in your tirate did you confirm you have ever been in the military – which again only means you vent hot meaningless and useless air of no true value. Why would you celebrate the anniversary of a President’s death? Other Presidents have made mistakes as well. The original Alien and Sedition Act was signed into law by John Adams and severed his friendship with Thomas Jefferson. A person may consider one particular person’s behavior more or less appealing than another. For example I find your commentary more repulsive than strtlk’s comments. I have my reasons, and if you wish, I’ll list them. But the reason’s are irrevelvant to the point. The point is, Beck may or may not dislike John Adams as a President. He may dislike several Presidents. However many Presidents that Glenn Beck may dislike, he has made it clear that he dislikes Woodrow Wilson the most. M-O-S-T… Get it?

Most means more than the rest. Another example: You have foods you probably dislike. You may dislike roast turkey. But, you may dislike apple pie most. (I’m guessing your preference would be for something along the lines of coal or tar, but I admit that it’s purely speculation based on your comment history). Disliking apple pie most means that you dislike it even more than roast turkey, or any other food that one could mention. That’s what most means. Got it pumpkin?

Another point I’d make is: Glenn may not dislike John Adams at all. He may like the guy as President overall, liking the good aspects of Adams as President, but simply dislike specific decisions he made. On December 9, 2011 on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s Freedom Watch on FOX Business Channel Glenn Beck betrayed his so called principles and called Tea Party Patriots who don’t agree with him racists.  He said if you support Newt Gingrich you are a racist because he the same as President Obama.  What if you support Mitt Romney?  Mitt Romney said he was a progressive just like Woodrow Wilson.  Glenn only trashes certain progressives.  He is a hypocrite.  He hides behind Rick Santorum when we all know he supports Mitt Romney the self proclaimed progressive who passed Romney Care and a myriad of other progressive legislature.  The only difference between Mitt and President Obama is not race because that is irrelevant….Mitt will tax the middleclass and Obama will tax the rich.
