OWS boneheads: “We don’t like that rule”

Some insight into the Occupy movement and mindset today as Glenn plays the audio of an Occupy protester who was confronted about the ‘no camping’ rules they were in violation of. Their response? Well, we don’t like that rule. Is that how America works? It would if this Occupier had their way – but the nonsense didn’t stop there. Get the audio and Glenn’s reaction in the clip above!

    They don’t like that rule?
Well I don’t like them. I know, why don’t we compromise and get rid of BOTH???

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

They want to teach people the rules yet don’t like the rule; and that is not what we call a Republic, it is the fulfillment of this ladder:

Republic shifts to Democracy that shifts to Anarchy and from that arises a Dictatorship.

If we don’t have equal protection & treatment under the law, then there is no law. Officials should be impeached for equal protection violations. It’s abuse of power & it’s oppression. I don’t feel like putting up with that kind of crap. That’s the cutting edge of extreme tyranny. It’s what every free people has had to fight against.

Mayor Bloomberg should be arrested for allowing oppression of the people by the OWS movement. He had Catholics arrested for much less. What’s the penalty for kidnapping? False arrest? This was deliberate & overt and the law should apply to the officials who use unequal protections to perpetrate unequal treatment that results in detainment & charges for some and not others for the same behavior, in this case worse treatment for lessor behavior.

Well I think Holder has rules he does not like too! I guess birds of a feather…

Where is their permits to protest? Without one, they are in violation of the law. You know, illegal is illegal, but it seems this current government of ours does what they want to and bypasses the law. Obama continues to do what he wants, and forgets all about “We The People” and what are rights are. He is not a president, he is a dictator. Go back to all his comments. He says something and usually does something else. He wants it his way, not the people’s way. If this continues, we can expect to be a 3rd world country in less than 4 years. If you want to continue to lose all your rights, continue to support him. If you want to restore this nation to the a powerful and wonderful place to live, then we must take back our country with proper leadership.

This OWS response to the “No Camping” ordinance is reinforced by the anarchy served up daily in our classrooms where students are taught that our Founding principles — inalienable rights, rule of law, morality, etc. — are optional as well. This OWS brand of “equality” is like another French revolution that will assure another Napoleon. Their “education” is just more indoctrination suitable for the kind of re-education camps that come with most collectivist regimes.

  • General Kota

The Occupy movement never loves the rule of law or reality for that matter. They attack Catholics for standing up for unborn babies but they say they are the movement of love. They throw condom in their face for crying out loud. They can care less about the poor and more about blaming. They blame the poor for the rapes and drugs found at their movements but they protect the rapist by not turning them into the police. They are the movement of hate no if ands about it. Judge them by their works.

They should be protesting the last election if they care about this country. There is no democracy. Our next election is shaping up to be as big of a sham as the last. Do you know why Sarah Palin’s bus tour was really canceled? Do you know why she stayed 30 miles away from the second debate and chose the death of Steve Jobs to announce that she’s not running? I don’t like the rules that says I have to fund Planned Parenthood with tax dollars. When you don’t like the law you use the system to change it.  They need to grow up.
It is clear the devil is having a field day with these sinners. He is lying to all of them they deserve everything they want. He lies to all of us on a daily basis. We need to understand that we are being tempted to be selfish which leads us to doing evil deeds. God has made it clear that even the angels cannot interfere if we choose this path.

Rarely heard lyrics of “This Land Is Your Land”:

There was a big high wall there that tried to stop me;Sign was painted, it said private property; But on the back side it didn’t say nothing; This land was made for you and me.

In the squares of the city, In the shadow of a steeple;By the relief office, I’d seen my people. As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking,Is this land made for you and me?

Now you know what the song is about.

  • Stephen Williamson

OWS is an internationally organized and funded attempt to
overthrow western values and capitalism/free enterprise; it is no mystery why
it is endorsed in its entirety by Obama and the DNC.  The list of OWS
supporters includes (but is not limited to):

    The Communist Party U.S.A. (CPUSA)

    The American Nazi Party

    Neo-Nazi Militias

    Code Pink

National Socialist American Labor Party (NSALP)

    David Duke

CAIR (A front for the Muslim Brotherhood)

    The U.S. Democratic Party

    Klu Klux Klan (KKK)

    Anonymous (The cyber terror criminals)

I see OWS as an opportunity for all conservatives to force the revelation on
the American people of the true intentions of the left.  Most Americans
will not associate themselves with known Marxists and Nazis as the DNC has done
and if educated will reject them.  Reveal the monsters who support OWS to
everyone you know; ask them: “Are you a Nazi?  A Marxist?”  The
answer of course will be a resounding “NO.”  The logical follow-up
question for you to ask is: “Then why do you support them?”

Also, my question is, with the millions upon millions of
dollars of damages caused by the Democratic Party funded and endorsed OWS will
the taxpayer cost to repair the horrendous damage done by OWS surpass even
    Obama’s billion dollar
    campaign fund?

OWS is beyond dumb. The scumbags in Washington are the ones who have done it all. From taking bribes to pass legislation to passing nills that make it easy to ship jobs over seas. One doesn’t need to look any further than Washington D C for all the troubles this country has.

  • Anonymous

Guess what OWS?  I don’t like the way you misinterpret the US Constitution.  It gives you the

right to ASSEMBLE.  Not the right to OCCUPY.  Unless it’s private property and the owner says

it’s OK.  I don’t like the way you think it’s all about you.  There are citizens of the cities/places

you occupy whose way of life you are purposely disrupting—-by blocking their right of way or

not allowing them access to businesses.  And, in some cases, your just being a pain in the butt.

”wolf”, if the trouble is from DC, why haven’t they occupied Congress or the WH?

Of course, I know they wouldn’t be allowed to actually occupy the WH, but they could

    picket it, couldn’t they?

John,  “Permits?  We don’t need no stinkin’ permits!”    The mayors of the cities which

were occupied were compliant with the wishes of OWS groups.  Some ”caught on”

early and gave them the heave-ho.   Others, like the mayor of Oakland (a former com-

munity organizer!) sympathized with them—a lot.   After much damage, police run-ins

and a number of citizens/businesses complaining, she finally ”caught on” too.

Of course folks asking for her recall may have spurred her into some action.

Actually you are both correct. I’ve seen both the spoiled rich kid types and also have seen some illegals being given signs and paid a few dollars to carry them but what was sad was that they did not even know the meaning of the signs or what they said but they needed the money and so the union thugs used them. Exploited them. It was in New York City and I felt pretty bad to see them used in that way.

“Even the poor among us is still among the wealthiest 1% in the world” – Glenn Beck.

I have news for you Beck, and anyone else in the U.S. that thinks being poor in America is a cake-ride on welfare – You haven’t been among the poorest in America. Socialism isn’t the answer, but you people haven’t a clue what being poor is like in the U.S. if you think everyone is taken care of. People still starve to death in this country. People still freeze to death in the winter. People still suffer from malnutrition. Are we better off than most countries? Yeah, but we still have our destitute poor, and the OWS does not represent those people by a long shot.

  • Anonymous

Did anyone else notice how Beck takes a comment from a single Occupy protester, generalizes that comment to the entire global movement, and then claims this is the first step in a national descent into anarchy? That’s a bit of a stretch. Plus, these people are protesters– he can’t equate their camping in a no camping zone to breaching the speed limit unless he’s making a political protest every time does 70 in 55 mph zone. The least the city could do is find another place for them to continue protesting peacefully.
The comment about the Lord of the Flies is just ridiculous, and if anything it contradicts his own arguments about unfettered capitalism. In a society based on unregulated capitalism, people are reduced to their animalistic, competitive drives. Like the boys in the Lord of the Flies, they become consumed by the hunt and the reward of the slaughtered pig.
I’m no socialist, and I’m no anarchist, but I think the Occupy protesters have a point. Wealth is a form of power that is obtained undemocratically. We don’t elect who’s wealthy, but because of their circumstances they happen to have that power. They use that power to fund campaigns and meddle in elections, and, judging by Romney and Gingrich’s relative success in the caucuses thus far, that meddling clearly influences elections. Do you really think that’s how the Founding Father’s intended American democracy to play out?

When our government took over the job of handing out money to our “poor” (not everyone receiving government largesse is poor, not by a long shot!), those in the local communities slowly forgot about those who slip through the cracks.  In the past, people kept an eye on their neighbors and worked together to make sure they were warm and fed.  And before all the government handout programs, people were more apt to make sure that they saved for the future, instead of spending every dime they get on things like bigger flat screen TV’s and the latest cell phone invented!  And if the government were not taking so much of the regular tax payers paycheck, they would be much more likely to donate to the poor within their own communities.  OWS doesn’t represent anyone other than bored spoiled rich kids…they aren’t looking for an equal OPPORTUNITY to take care of themselves, they want more redistribution so that they never have to take care of themselves!

You haven’t been to the NYC OWS General Assembly website have you?  While it isn’t DC it will give you an excellent insight to how these people tick.  They have no intention of doing anything with the Congress or the WH…..  they completely believe that it is with Wall st, and in the case of DC, K street that is controlling the country.
They do not want changes within our government, they want a change OF government.  Their goal is direct democracy with General Assemblies on every street corner.  Go to the occupywallst.org site and read the nonsense they are spewing about DC and Oakland…  read some of the posts on their forum and then go to the NYCGA link on that site and read the activity board, the general assembly’s minutes… that is the only way you’ll get an understand of how crazy these people really are….

Btw, the NYC OWS is not without it’s internal problems they have been thrown out of the last two churches that were allowing them to “house” their members at night.  Why, well the last straw was when someone stole the brass 100 year old baptismal fount from the sanctuary of one of the churches…..    There also is a lot of infighting because of the lack of transparency regarding all the money that was donated to them.  And they are rapidly running out of that as they spend like drunken sailors…….

The scary thing is many of the OWS people are anarchist just waiting for a chance to turn this “peaceful” movememt into something else.

B.G.  Thanks for the info.   I fully agree with your last sentence.  I have

seen the action/results from the occupiers in Oakland.  Recently, some-

by what happened following the trial of a policeman of BART (Bay

ago.  The man served time, but they feel the sentence was too light.

The anarchist element within OWS is a chaotic group of “useful idiots” that is active whenever there is a dissident movement in the U.S. (or any other country). The OWS anarchists are largely “communist anarchists” as opposed to your standard anarchists or “pacifist anarchists”. Try not to get hung up on the fact that anarchy and communism are diametrically opposed. It doesn’t matter. Those idiots believe in it hook, line, and sinker and THAT is what matters. Communist anarchy is exactly the doing of Bill Ayers and other “professors” like him.

On YouTube, the OWSers have uploaded numerous videos of them having meetings with “leadership” in “educational” lectures right on the street or in their camps. These “leaders” are almost without exception members of academia. Generally speaking, anarchy is not very popular in the United States. It is usually most popular with atheist groups, and the fact that the U.S. has a very small number of atheists in comparison with most other countries tells me that the relationship between the popularity of atheism and anarchy is not merely coincidental.

Standard anarchist groups have their own agendas, and do not adhere to “communist anarchy”… for obvious reasons that the rest of us are also aware of. However, standard anarchists, as a rule, will latch onto any movement they see which they believe has a chance of overthrowing the current establishment (no matter what kind) and will use unrest in other groups to blend in and create their own particular kind of chaos.

Contrast this with the communist anarchist – communist anarchists actually have hard organization, very detailed plans, and very specific end goals. In the end, their concepts of “utopia” are vague compared to Marxist communists (even though they believe they are aiming for a more purely Marxist communism than the self-proclaimed Marxists advocate), and if you engage in debate or simply conversation with them it won’t be long until you understand right away that you are talking to what is beyond a doubt, a group of “useful idiots”. Ayers and others like him teach them very narrow yet in depth perspectives history, communism, and the current state of politics in America. Once they’re indoctrinated Ayers and his buddies (C) give their anarchist patsies (A) pep talks, prep them (A) to make specific plans based on ideas they (C) outline, then turns them (A) loose and washes their (C) hands of whatever the anarchists do.

The Days of Rage group is just one of these so-called anarchist communist groups. These groups are kind of like the adhesive between the communists among the union representation and the anarchists who represent the most volatile group, but the fewest in number.

I’ve been studying these guys for over a year. Have any questions, send them my way. I can also give you plenty of fun links to YouTube videos of them doing their thing.

Financial and organizational sources of OWS:

Amalgamated Bank; Adbusters; DNC; DSA; RCP; MoveOn.org; Justice for Janitors; Jobs For Justice; UNITE; Alliance for Global Justice; Open Society Institute; Days of Rage; Kasama Project; SEIU; ACORN; AFL-CIO; CPUSA; Center for American Progress; Tides Foundation; Working Families Party, DC Tenants Advocates Coalition; October2011; PNHP; CWA; Midwest Academy; WorldCantWait.net; The Green Party and just about every single major American union organization. And while there are many more sources, these are just the ones that have been openly outed.

American Postal Workers Union, National Association of Letter Carriers, National Postal Mailhandlers Union, the National Rural Letter Carriers Association and the National Association of Postal Supervisors – Unions involved in the protests from the first week.

Alliance for Global Justice – One major parent group that money is siphoned through to support the Occupy Wall Street protesters. They have received money from SEIU and ACORN, among other groups.

Protests officially started on September 17, 2011: September 17 was the date the U.S. Constitution was signed.

CPUSA – Communist Party USA; Funding and organizing for Occupy Wall Street.

Days of Rage – Largely a university student group modeled after Bill Ayers’ Weather Underground group’s Days of Rage protests in the ’60s. They’re self proclaimed anarchist-communists or communist-anarchists (essentially the same thing).

Working People’s Party, Working Families Party, Working People’s Alliance – Different names with the same origin.

PNHP – Physicians for a National Health Program – Working closely with the Green Party to organize OWS as early as June 2011.

Academia and/or “intellectuals” of OWS: Harrison Schultz, Cornel West, Chris Hedges, Billy Talen, Joseph Stiglitz, Jeff Madrick, Debra Sweet, Frances Fox Piven, Slavoj Zizek, and others…

I don’t adhere to anti-Mormon conspiracy theories. Glenn Beck’s political position on Romney doesn’t spoil everything else he stands for. There have been, are, and no doubt will be times when I and other like-minded people will disagree with Beck. This issue with celebrating Wilson’s death is one of them. However, disagreeing with him on any given issue doesn’t cause me to go off the deep end and make up ridiculous notions of Mormon caliphates.

Hey, when trying to decide who are the good guys and who are the bad guys here’s a tip: The good guys believe that murder, theft, and slavery are wrong. Mormons don’t believe in conversion by force. Mormons don’t believe in a religious mandate to rule the world by force. I disagree vehemently with very specific theological points of Mormonism. However, I recognize as a Christian that Mormons share a very similar moral view of the world with me, and that there is a connection between us relating to God and the message of Christ.

Get over your “caliphate” theory and start dealing with reality.

The only reason our politics play out the way they do is for the very same reason that OWSers universally reject the free market. If the government has the power to regulate the market, if it has the power to influence the market then the market is going to want to influence the government. If you remove the government’s power over the market then there is no advantage in the market for influencing the government.

That is why the free market is so important to the preservation of liberty. If government has the power to control wealth then there will always be an incentive for business to exert influence on government and vice versa. Only when the ownership of wealth (land, property of any kind) is sovereign from the government is there liberty.

OWSers reject the free market because they aren’t interested in liberty. Their priority is on guaranteed/forced wealth equality. That means the free market is in direct conflict with their aims. You can not have equal wealth distribution with a free market. Absolute equal wealth distribution is impossible, but just for the sake of argument we’ll say it is an achievable goal. Well, in order to achieve it and enforce it you have to completely abolish liberty.

Collectivism is antithetical to liberty. OWS does not have a point worth noting for anyone who values liberty. Wealth isn’t the enemy. The free market isn’t the enemy. Government in general isn’t the enemy. “It’s the system stupid!”

The Mormon Caliphate is a joke.  The rest is not.  I don’t believe in a Mormon Caliphate.  What is wrong with you?

  • Anonymous

Actually, I would disagree with your linking of the free market to liberty absolutely. If we’re going to talk in broad, abstract terms like “liberty”, the then free market imprisons one in greed and self-interest. It imprisons the individual in mindless competition. You need only look to sweatshops in Asia or the factories of the American and British Industrial Revolutions to see that the free market can be a danger to the health of the individual.

I never suggested that the government should “control” wealth, I simply suggested that they should regulate its voice in the government. The Portland General Electric power supply scandal in Oregon and California is a perfect example of why government regulation of businesses is necessary. When Enron realized that because demand for electricity was so high, they could decrease the supply of electricity and raise the price level. The result was blackouts across cities in California and Oregon, and many families were unable to pay their electric bills because of the sudden rise in prices. It’s thanks to current government regulations on businesses that we don’t have child labor, unsanitary working conditions, and the like. I’m pretty sure allowing child labor and unsafe working conditions is considered an affront to personal liberty.

At the moment, our liberty is being infringed upon by the wealthy. Corporate America has such a large voice in the government that it silences individuals– no one person of average income can overcome power of Goliath Super PACs. Through campaign ads and increasing public visibility, Super PACs can sway popular opinion to their favor.

So yes, of course it’s the system. That’s what protests are all about. The Occupiers have pointed out a flaw in the system. Mr. Beck tries to “de-Americanize” them by linking them to Marxism, but he can’t hide the fact that these are Americans who have spotted a problem with the system. It’s because they care about the liberty of the 99% that they’ve left their homes to camp out in city centers across America.
