What have we learned in 2,067 years?

“The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be
tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should
be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to
work, instead of living on public assistance.”

- Cicero – 55 BC

What have we learned in all this time: only one thing, history repeats itself in continuous cycles of destruction unless there will be a generation who choses to break the pattern. Thus the old saying of great truth “Those who forget the past are condemnded to repeat it” as said by both Santyana and Churchill.

We are in a time and place here in America where we can break the cycle of history; the founders did so with the creation of a Republic ruled by the people. Now we have a chance to bring the Republic back and break the cycle again. The founders with God’s help brought about the nation and managed to make it work.

They achieved the near impossible; for us we face a slightly easier task to restore what has been given unto our care for these last generations.

We will choose to either save and restore the nation or let her pass into the night.

While I have anything to say about it, this nation will not pass into the night while I still can do anything to stand against the dark. If God demands I go before her, then so be it.

Wow, the Bible is right! There is nothing new under the sun. History is doomed to repeat itself, lest we learn the first time!

Indeed, that is the wisdom of God to the world; with His help and guidance we can break the cycle of history. The difference here is if enough people of faith will allow themselves to be guided by God in doing what needs to be done; if so the nation will be saved and restored, if not we will go into the night.

Remember – “The prayers of a righteous man avails much good.”

It is not the case that history repeats itself. It has been the same battle since the beginning between the same two forces. God and Lucifer.
Lucifer in Roman times showed himself in all of the pagan rituals of the time- those same elements are still here today. Note Madonnas halftime show from the beginning to the end a occult ritual. Those same themes run from the Egyptian and Babylonian magic schools to the Masonic rituals to the books of Alice Bailey- Alister Crowley to the New Age which is the old age.

History does repeat itself unless we choose to listen. Reading & hearing his word is not listening to his word. When you listen, you learn, as we all soon will find out. When you can relate to a profit, then you are listening.

    Answer: NOTHING!

People aren’t watchful anymore. As long as their lives aren’t disrupted, they could care less what’s going on. And that’s exactly how people like Obama get elected.

    Indifference is our biggest hurdle.

  • Anonymous

If things continue as they are – in other words, barring a disaster or
any other excuse for full fledged fascist dictatorship – Obama and the
Democrats are going to suffer BIG in this next election, and it’ll be
Republicans with a supermajority, so we won’t really have to worry a
whole lot about bipartisan support, whether it is for a budget issue or
    anything else.

Getting a majority of Republicans into office will never be enough for
me though. I want to see the elimination of the Democratic Party
altogether. That should be just one of our long term goals.

    * Repeal what needs to be repealed to reaffirm our Constitutional Rights.
    * Lower and/or eliminate taxes for every private individual.
    * Deregulate.
    * Eliminate (In no particular order): CFPB, COPS, IRS, ILAB, USDA, EPA,
FDA, OIRA, OPIC, DHS, TSA, ATF, SSA, FEMA, HHS, NLRB, OSC, ONDCP, OMB,
OOC, OJJDP, FMCS, PMF, CEA, CEQ, CPD, Dep. of Energy, Dep. of Education,
Dep. of Labor, Dep. of Transportation, Denali Commission, Domestic
Policy Council, Export-Import Bank of the U.S., Open World Leadership
Center,  and many many more including committees, bureaus, and
    commissions galore.
    * A full-fledged disclosure of the Federal Reserve’s information,
including activities, agendas, and sponsors, as well as a disbandment
and/or legal proceedings against the Fed if necessary.
    * Elimination of the Democratic Party.
    * Elimination of the Electoral College.
    * Restructure the entire Federal Judicial system, beginning by cleaning house at the top.
    * Restructure of the FBI, CIA, and NSA (the U.S. intelligence system)
including an increase in funding to each, cleaning house at the top, and
redefining their roles after the elimination of the DHS.
    * Restructure of the Pentagon and the role of the military in homeland defense after the elmination of the DHS.
    * Restructure and a redefined role for the National Guard and Coast Guard after the elimination of the DHS.

We need to demand more from our candidates as we vet them. We need to
make sure they are willing to commit to eliminating much of the federal
government’s bloat. WE need to recognize the bloat for what it is. What
role does the ATF play that the FBI can’t do with increased funding?
What role does FEMA fulfill that can’t be done by someone else better
    and without wasting funding?

If we eliminate the TSA and reduce the taxes and regulations on airline
companies, and get out of regulating unions we open the door to
entrepreneurship in the airline industry, as well as privatized
    increases to security.

You can not have liberty without risk. You can not have security without
oppression. If we react to the risks we face by trading liberty for
security, we deserve neither liberty or security and we will lose both.

We have already traded much liberty for security. The richest among us
continue to push us in that direction. We have to resist this push and
push back to reclaim our liberty. Those who would put our country in
chains because they dare not face the risks and struggles that comes
with liberty are not fit to live among us. Let them leave us if they are
unwilling. Let them fail if they are not capable of succeeding. We have
to be willing to let the wealthiest leave or fail if we are to let the
underdog succeed. No one can elevate their position in life if we
insulate our wealth against failure, because insulating against failure
is synonymous with insulating against success.

This was once the land of opportunity, not guarantees. Let’s work to restore it and move forward in THAT direction once again.

  • General Kota

You live in another reality. Let’s cut Palestine’s money. they don’t need it lol moron.

This is what history has shown as time and time again. Why do we humans not learn from our mistakes? Who many people died in the name of Marxism? The last study I read had it over 100,000 million dead. Do not mistake OWS intention or dismiss them. The majority might not stand with them but if things keep going the same way that will change. They have us where they want us.

  • Lioness

Breaking the cycle is a very worthwhile cause, but do not discount others who do not share the same faith, we are also working on the side of good to save this republic.

  • Lioness

This really isn’t a religious issue, it’s a lesson in the importance of education and personal responsibility. The church and state were one in the same before we came to America, same goes for the Middle east today. So faith is really a non issue here, in fact it can be just as destructive as socialism. This country is heavily populated, this has never been achieve in known history, so the guidelines don’t exist. If we wish to break the cycle, we need to learn how to teach personal responsibility to so many. Many do not have access to such ideas in their public schools or from their families. So the big question is how do you reverse generations of people who learned such negative values. I’m certain the answer does not rely in religion. Lets face it, not every brain can believe without scientific proof that Adam and Eve actually existed or that Moses parted the red sea. We need a stronger foundation for people to build upon. Something more solid for our moral compass to grasp. I propose love, but that’s just me.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

Understood, that is one of the great strengths of our nation; all of us who love the nation, no matter where we agree or disagree on faith or the non-aspect of faith, all can agree the nation needs to be restored.

We have to defeat Obama in the next elections; and after that make sure the new POTUS will do their best to reverse the damage done for so long of a time.

I see the work of restoring the nation taking one or two generations at the best, maybe more. Yet we need to do so.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

Gatekeeper – the part of history repeating itself is how MAN handles the situation; the devil wants us to forget the past so we will continue the cycle over and over again; God wants us to BREAK the cycle with his guidance and return to Him.

  • Lioness

I agree, but even a new president can’t reverse all of our issues, it’s only a band aid to the underline problem, moral decay. We suffer from a lack of love and sound conscience.  Two gererations is a optimistic goal.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

Understood, the main part is a new POTUS can open the way of getting the fed’s off the peoples back enough to where WE the PEOPLE can continue the part we need to do…yes, two generation is optimistic, five would probably be closer.

Both sound bad. As much as I dislike this president but if they go after him then what country would that be after OWS gets a hold of it. Like I told someone it is like living in a Tom Clancy book in this day and age I am fearful of what will happen. If they come after us they still get what they want. It looks bad now.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

Lioness I have to admit this is one of the better posts I have seen for a time; mind you I am a Christian Chaplain, historian, and former three-time business enterpenueer (failed at that). I will try to answer your question of how we can break the cycle:

The core of it begins with the family; parents and children.

Faith – or the non-following of faith as they chose for the Atheistis and Agnostic bent; is at its core a set of ideals and goals, most people come to have a blind faith of ‘this is the way it always has been and must be’ instead of understanding that the ideals are more than mere words, they are to be LIVED. Only in the application to our lives can we see and test what is true and not true, to challenge ourselves to grow and understand that what we have been taught may be right, or even wrong.

Education – part of it is in schooling (and I attended public school), the realization is that not everyone is equal in all areas of learning; we need to stop the process of dumbing down everyone else, instead we need to work on bringing the goals higher. Some will excell at math, science, reading, or speech, some may master many, others will be in arts, or langages. Another part is the parents involved more in the education with their children, both will learn at the same time.

Self discovery – We also need to get kids to seek answers out as well; my grandfather always would answer a question in part, then show me a book that held the rest; he always had the same question – do you want to learn the rest or accept what was said as the sole answer? He taught me not only to look for answers, but how to think, and dare to challenge.

Conformity to a point can be a benefit, such as in teaching a class things of absolute importance; conformity for the sake of control as the progressives want is a route onto serfdom and enslavement.

The most dangerous person the progressives fear is someone who asks WHY? and is willing to look for the answers.

    lest we know the name

  • Lioness

Education has always been my answer too. But unfortunately in my business (apartments, and I’m the dreaded landlord), I see so many who will never have access to it. The corrosion of public schools make it impossible for children to learn even the basics of how to function in society. People are existing but not living. They never ask why, and are only capable of responding instinctually to what feels good at the moment. I deal with this all the time, I have the capacity to sympathize with their situation, yet they make no attempt to even acknowledge mine. It definitely begins at the core, but no one can reach it. One person has five kids and at best only one can be reached, of the four left many more are born. I think we may become outnumbered, if we cannot find a new solution.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

We have to start somewhere; consider this though, the one person who is able to be changed due to our efforts may be the one who can make the greater changes happen.

Look at Ghandi, one man faced the discrimination of those who ruled his people; and he freed them. One person, that is the beginning.

I don’t think you are actually hearing what i am saying.
    It is the same battle.
And that’s the funny part once you study history deeply for years – from non liberal books. It is very clear it has been the same battle  different faces but it is the same battle.
    Take a look
     http://beginningandend.com/return-goddess-madonnas-super-bowl-halftime-satanic-ritual/

Whittaker Chambers saw it as well in his book “Witness.”
    Karl Marx was an occultist.
Stalin and Lenin were deep into psychic sciences or occult.
Hitler the same and conversed with channelers.
It has been the same battle with the same promises.
    They always promise
“Yea will be as gods” and Utopia.
The same promises that were made in the Garden about becoming gods are being made today to the New Agers and Dominionists.

    AMEN!

     Sorry. I disagree.

When you see how the battle lines are drawn, you pick a side. That is what you do. You Pick the light or the dark.
It is the same battle since the beginning.

    Example:
    http://beginningandend.com/return-goddess-madonnas-super-bowl-halftime-satanic-ritual/

“The Superbowl is kind of like the Holy of Holies in
America. I’ll come at halfway of the “church experience” and I’m gonna
have to deliver a sermon. It’ll have to be very impactful.” – Madonna commenting before her Super Bowl Performance on the Anderson Cooper Show.

In what could possibly be the most-watched occult ritual in
    television history,
Madonna’s Super Bowl Halftime performance was a 12
minute display of Satanic symbolism, Illuminati ritual and blasphemy
against the God of the Bible. Madonna’s “sermon” to the world on the
TV’s biggest stage (the Super Bowl) was another step in indoctrinating
society back into the ancient pagan Mystery religions and celebration of
Satan’s ultimate seduction – that humans can become gods.

Roman and Egyptian paganism/rituals and magic done in the largest satanic

ceremony in history called the Superbowl.

110 million watched and were a part of the ceremony

This ceremony has its origins in ancient Babylon and Egypt, all the same gods and symbols.
    What then has changed?
    Answer not one thing.
When you read the Bible say, Second Samuel and it talks about Saul going to the witch of Endor for a reading before battle to you say “oh  it is oh so long ago.”

But I know that woman. Her modern counter part holds ” Angel” channeling conventions at the Sheraton here in Hawaii.

Is this for sure a quote of Cicero?  I like it a lot but in researching the internet I find that it may not be an actual quote of Cicero. I found that Cicero stated “The arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and
assistance to foreign hands should be curtailed, lest Rome fall.”  The rest may have been added.

Cicero did say it, just not all of it.   Here’s the actual quote:

“The arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and assistance to foreign hands should be curtailed, lest Rome fall.” – Cicero

Source: Attributed to MARCUS TULLIUS CICERO, Congressional Record, April

    & World Report, July 29, 1968, p. 15. Still later, a contributor
reported this to The Review of the News, June 30, 1971, p. 19, and he
also attributed this to Cicero. No evidence has been found to confirm
that Cicero said these words, and it is almost certainly spurious. ·

    amysdata,

According to a few historians at snopes.com, they alledge that there is no historical evidence ALL of the quote can be attributed to the Cicero.

The first time this quote surfaced (as shown here) was in a book called “A pillar of Iron” (1965) by Taylor Caldwell.

John H. Collins, Professor of History at Northern Illinois University, said that this quotation “is totally without documentation,” and that “the great bulk of Caldwell’s quotations are false.” He further observed that “a historical novelist has a perfect right to put invented conversations and anecdotes into a novel, but should not represent these inventions as authentic history.”

Lioness, I heartily agree with you on education.  Also, on personal responsibility.

However, I disagree with you on religious issue.  We have become a secular nation and

Actually I strongly support religious education in school. All loving religions should be shared, it’s part of human history, and all very important. Giving people the tools they need to think for themselves will actually enlighten and strengthen ones faith, while teaching love and acceptance of others. I really think people are born with the ability to discern between good and evil on there own. Those who educate, parents and teachers, need to supply the knowledge that will guide them through life.

If I sound contradictory I don’t mean to, I really don’t feel that politics should be guided by religious dogma, only logic.

I didn’t watch the super bowl at all, but I knew by the choice they had made exactly what kind of “show ” would be held.
Glenn did a show on the worship of Ba’al but he didn’t go far enough. He gave it a very surface glossing over.
He never got into the symbology of Ba’al, which is part of all the Mystery schools. And those symbols are all around us.

Gatekeeper,  you ask a very provocative question for

which you could expect any number of answers.  Today,

for instance, one might say: the pursuit of the almighty

dollar is number one for many.  Or for others it might be

to excel in a particular sport or in one of the arts.  Still,

for others it could be to gain power of one kind or an-

other.   It may not be an actual ”who” is worshiped but

it could be a ”what.” But if you want to know the answer

to ”who”,  just look at those who seem to love/adore a

particular sport figure—or TV or movie personality—or a

Clearly the lesson here is that humans, as a class, do not learn from the mistakes of others.  We assume instead that we are so much smarter and better than those who preceded us that we need not pay attention to the lessons taught by their actions no matter how similar the situations and actions.

I looked at your link, interesting indeed. However, it is based on Jesus being the anointed one, which opens up a major debate, one that will not be decided until the return of the true and ONLY almighty G-d. As for what I was saying, if you can relate your life to that of a Prophet, you then can understand what G-d is trying to say. The book is titled the name of the Prophet, but it is G-d speaking to you personally. It is up to you to listen to what he is saying. Reading it or hearing it does not mean you’re listening to him. Pray for wisdom, knowledge, & understanding before opening the book, and then you know to listen. As you listen, our fathers of old never listened & for that were punished. To put it another way, for those who have children, when you tell your child to do something, they hear you, and if they respond the first time & do as you say, then they are listening. Our fathers have never responded nor do we respond to his commandments. Notice that most Prophets were always alone in their journeys & found themselves seeking death, because the task of getting people to listen & respond accordingly is a tough task indeed. When a child hears & does not obey, they are punished, until the day they choose to listen to what should be done. You speak of the battle that continues between G-d & Satan, but just like Adam & Eve, YOU have the choice. It’s easy to put the blame on Satan versus taking the blame yourself; we do a good job of battling G-d ourselves, as did our fathers of old. It’s time we put the blame on us & stop trying to blame someone or something else. If your research in history tells you something, it should be that people should stop following man & listen to what G-d asks them to do.

You speak of wisdom snowleopard, what then is the flying scroll in Zechariah chapter 5?

1 Then again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and behold a
    flying roll.

2 And he said unto me: ‘What seest thou?’ And I answered: ‘I
see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof
    ten cubits.’

3 Then said he unto me: ‘This is the curse that goeth forth
over the face of the whole land; for every one that stealeth shall be swept away
on the one side like it; and every one that sweareth shall be swept away on the
    other side like it.

4 I cause it to go forth, saith HaShem of hosts, and it shall
enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth
falsely by My name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house, and shall
consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.’

The flying scroll speaks by symbolic representation of the books in Heaven that record the deeds – for good or bad – what each of us does, says, and means. They are truth that shall be revealed as described in Daniel 12 when the books will be opened plus the lambs book of life.

Those who steal shall perish, those who bear false promise shall perish by judgment of God for their very deeds done.

Wake up America’s original post is given in reference to the book of Ecclesiastes as spoken by Solomon, when inspired by God to delare “There is nothing new under the sun.”

All things happen over and over again; yet God has the power and authority to make changes happen, when His people ask by faith.

Interesting, I have heard several people use the symbolic interpretation before. But, I can see this from a different perspective. I’m sure you will not agree.
4 I cause it to go forth, saith HaShem of hosts, and it shall
enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth
falsely by My name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house, and shall
consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.’
G-d says that it will enter into the house of the thief & that swear falsely by his name. With that being said, this leads me to believe that it is the Television, Tele – Vision; on one side are the thieves that take your money (advertising, sporting events, news, & so on) & you are the person that swears by his name falsely on the viewing side. Cursing the ways of the politicians, envying the stars, & watching the sin of others as we sit back and consume the goods they put on the market. This is used by G-d as a recording device to show each person of their iniquity & sin committed against G-d almighty. What a great design from G-d, people of the movies can sit back and watch reality T.V at its worst, then feel the shame for not following his ways if they do not repent. How many TV’s do you have in your house? Only 111.3 million people watched the last Super Bowl. Ask yourself, when the power is off, is it really off? Seems far-fetched doesn’t it, so did Noah’s Ark at that time.

We have let the new definition of the separation of church and state to,  separate us from God.  That is why we are Doomed to repeat our failures.  A departure from God is a departure from knowledge, in favor of our own desires.  The truth of history can be denied, just as easily as the truth of, God.  Let’s not concede to human incompetence.  Let’s identify the cause and confront it.  We did not confront the separation of church and state when it began.  Let’s not concede to the ignorance that has been created in it.  Let’s get rid of this defeatist attitude when we’re confronted with stupidity.  We can’t force people to listen, or understand.  We have each other now.  The media has convinced anybody with a lick of sense that we’re on our own, out in the cold.  We know better now.  we have to get rid of this the world’s going to hell in a bucket attitude.  We can’t be looking for vindication through the end these idiot’s are creating for themselves.  They are uninformed misinformed, and misled.  They’re in the same bucket we would be in if we were not fortunate enough to have received the word of God and accepted it.  We haven’t accepted his word.  We believe in the power of corruption in the world because we are surrounded with the evidence of it.  Our faith is supposed to be the evidence of things unseen.  We have conceded the deaths of the misled, while we feel secure in our salvation.    God has promised us victory through Jesus.  History is not doomed to repeat itself if, we cling to God.  Oh sure maybe it’s “the last days” and there’s nothing we can do about it.  What if it’s not the last days.  What if it’s just the result of our slothfulness? What if this defeat isn’t part of the final judgement?  God’s word being choked out of the world is part of the prophecy.  That doesn’t mean that when it is threatened that’s a sign of the end of days.  If this is the end times our obligations are more not less.  We are commanded to direct the misled,  not to stop the end of the world.  It is God’s plan for us to be judged, not that we should submit to forces of corruption.  We need to stop evaluating the world and, deciding how to serve the Lord.  We need to be obedient to what he commands us to do.  Our insight has yielded exactly what we have done.  Nothing.  If we speak with contempt for corruption without the desire to confront it,  then we promote a message of surrender.  Let’s not surrender. Let’s fight.  I have three godchildren, that are are like my own children to me.  They’re getting sucked away into this wasteland and I have no hope in my mind.  Don’t tell me how to surrender.  Don’t tell me that my family and my country are a lost cause. There’s enough evidence of that already.  Give me strength.  We need to support each other so we’ll have something to believe in.  Let’s not crush each other with our fears and disapointments.

And the amusing, and yet unsurprising, fact is that this quotation is NOT from Cicero, but has been misattributed to him for years–as five minutes of simple research shows.  But why let facts stand in the way of good propaganda, right?
