A State Department spokesperson blatantly lied to a reporter questioning an announcement about putting boots on the ground in Syria.
Then again, what's new?
Glenn played a clip of the exchange as well as ample audio evidence of this administration's repeated declarations there would absolutely be "no boots on the ground" in Iraq, Afghanistan or Syria.
"They don't care anymore," Glenn said. "And you know why they don't care anymore? It's not the media's fault. It's our fault."
Glenn continued.
"Is anybody going to say anything? Is anybody going to do anything? If you don't rise up and say, 'Enough with the lies' --- but what are we doing? We're about to elect a lie artist," Glenn said. "The northeast is about to elect a guy who is the Picasso of lies."

GLENN: Now, you can take our word for it, or you can take this as evidence.
OBAMA: I do not foresee a scenario in which boots on the ground in Syria, American boots on the ground in Syria, would not only be good for America, but also would be good for Syria.
VOICE: With respect to boots on the ground, profoundly, no, there will be no boots on the ground. The president has said that again and again. And there is nothing in this authorization that should contemplate it. And we reiterate no boots on the ground.
OBAMA: What we're not talking about is an open-ended intervention. This would not be another Iraq or Afghanistan. There would be no American boots on the ground. Any action we take would be limited, both in time and scope.
VOICE: To be clear, as we've said repeatedly, our strategy does not involve US troops on the ground in either Iraq or Syria. And no US troops will be in Syria as part of the train and equip program.
OBAMA: I will not put American groups on the ground in Syria.
GLENN: Back to yesterday.
VOICE: For months and months and months, that the mantra from the president and everyone else in the administration has been no boots on the ground. And now --
VOICE: No. That is not true. That's just not true, man.
VOICE: What? It is.
GLENN: I mean, that is crazy.
PAT: How do you make that claim? How?
GLENN: That is crazy. Oh, man, we have got -- we as a nation have got to get a handle on the lies.
PAT: I know.
GLENN: When they -- they don't care anymore. And you know why they don't care anymore? It's not the media's fault. It's our fault. It's our fault.
For a year now -- longer than that. Longer than that. Probably for the last four years, we have had an internal argument in -- on this show, "Glenn, somebody has to correct the record." And I've been saying, "Nobody cares anymore. I can't do it anymore because nobody cares anymore." And Pat and Stu and Jeffy have been saying every day, "Glenn, somebody has to correct the record. If nobody corrects the record, then it just stands. I stand by, nobody cares." There it is. Is anybody going to say anything? Is anybody going to do anything? If you don't rise up and say, "Enough with the lies" -- but what are we doing? We're about to elect a lie artist. We're about -- as the people who are supposed to have principles, we're about to -- tonight, the northeast is about to elect a guy who is the Picasso of lies.
Now -- oh, yeah. I was going to say he -- that's an insult on Picasso because Picasso was really good. But his lies were like Picasso. Yep, that's a face. No, it's not. The nose is where the ear is supposed to be. And everyone can see it. No, no. That's beautiful. It looks just like a face. The Picasso of lies.
